My story certainly isn't linear, but woven along the winding path you'll find the theme of people surface. While persistently asking myself what work aligns with my personal values through positions in marketing, event management, brand strategy and eventually organizational culture strategy, I came to the conclusion my career fulfillment comes in the form of inspiring others. I believe one of the most powerful things you can do is provoke thought in another that has the potential to manifest itself in changed behavior and action. At the intersection of what you love, who you are and what serves others is where you'll find work that gratifies. My own inherent values of being curious, persistent, ambitious and entrepreneurial are what led me to the calculated and intentional decision to coach.
My work revolves around guiding others in extracting from themselves an authenticity and energy that radiates. It's deep work that evolves, grows, gets uncomfortable and serves as a catalyst for change. It mobilizes the transformation sitting inside you and ignites the next iteration of who you are. It requires answering the hard questions. Experiencing a roadblock or resistance along your journey is an indicator there is some work worth doing because there's more on the other side. The time has come to change or learn something in order to keep moving forward. The few things that can never be taken away from you are your skills, experience and ambition. You must always nurture those. There may be times you won’t know where you’re going, but you might know you’re done with where you are so you have to take that next step forward. Sometimes, identifying that next step is what takes work.
My story is really about other people and how I can inspire them to consistently seek out their own fulfillment within their culture and environment, and to stay curious enough, brave enough and strong enough, to get where they want to go.
