About This Project

Virginia Victim Assistance Network is a non-profit organization of professionals who provide mentoring and resources to victims of crime and those that support them. The organization was in need of two important components to further support their initiatives: a new website and a platform for their membership needs. I became involved with the project after the launch of the new website, which the organization was pleased with, but their needs for how to manage their membership base had not been met. They needed the functionality of creating invoices and processing payments for multiple membership levels while offering their members the ability to register and pay for events. My main role in this project was to sit with the client and listen to their wants, assess their needs and find the best way to implement. Prior to the website redesign they were using a membership platform called Wild Apricot. I was able to integrate Wild Apricot with their new WordPress website so all their needs were met. I initiated getting the organization set up again in Wild Apricot and did user testing on their website to make sure all parts worked together seamlessly. They now have a new, responsive web design with all the functionality they need to serve their members and the victims they support.
